在手工地毯设计中,为了表现传统文化精神和民族风格,借用或搬用传统图案、民间图案的题材与形式,拼凑填充纹样,由于纹样风格、结构与地毯图案的布局关联处理不当,整个毯面图案缺少连贯精神与气势,缺少应有的神韵与味道。对设计者而言,能否定局定象设计中继承与发扬民族风格,涉及到设计者对传统文化精神的理解与把握的程度。从目前我国手工地毯设计界状况来看,在借鉴、运用传统图案或民间图案的题材、纹样进行定局定象设计方面,尚有许多值得改进的地方。
