(一)帝王将相当然不是历史的脊梁,但他们改朝换代的活动毕竟影响过历史的节律。尤其是那些建立了大一统封建王朝的开国皇帝们,不论是反叛,是劫夺,还是在混战中兼并,总之,他们是仗剑而取天下的胜利者。他们在大波迭起的军事政治斗争中,把滞重的时代方舟推向中流的文治武功,是皇皇信史的一部分,是值得后世借鉴的思维原型(或曰历史经验)。而这,也正是《开国皇帝武略探》一书(国防大学出版社出版,严国群著)作者选题的历史唯物主义根据和创作灵感的起点。 (二)写过《君王论》的马基雅维里说过:“要彻底了解人民的性质,必须是一位君主;而欲知君王们的性质,却必须是一个平民。”前者是因为作为一个直接的对立面,方能体验出人民载舟覆舟的伟力;后者因为超然物外,才有冷峻、通透的视域。作者正是这样一个“平民”。他并不因为自己置身卑谷而不
