First, industry revenues and profits rebounded in a narrow range. Sub-sectors have been severely divided. According to the latest statistics from the National Bureau of Statistics, from January to May 2016, 813 enterprises above designated size in China’s pesticide industry, industry revenue reached 130.131 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase. This was 5.8% (2015, 5.1% year-on-year), of which chemical manufacturing income reached 117.058 billion yuan, an increase of only 4.9% year-on-year; biological pesticide manufacturing revenue reached 13.073 billion yuan, an increase of 14.3% year-on-year.
