中国工农红军工人师是我党军事史和工人运动史上第一支以“工人”命名的正规武装。为发挥工人阶级在中央苏区的领导作用 ,加强红军中的工人阶级骨干力量 ,增强战斗力 ,抵御蒋介石的第五次围剿 ,1933年 8月 1日红军工人师在瑞金成立 ,肩负着保卫红色首都瑞金的任务 ,故又称中央警卫师 ,在战争中表现了很强的战斗力。第五次反围剿失败后 ,中央军委将工人师编号取消 ,人员充实到各部队中。
The workers and peasants of the Chinese Workers’ and Peasants’ Red Army are the first regular armed workers named after the “workers” in the history of the military and workers’ movements in our Party. In order to give full play to the leading role of the working class in the Central Soviet Area, strengthen the backbone of the working class in the Red Army, enhance its combat effectiveness and resist Chiang Kai-shek’s fifth encirclement and suppression, the Red Army worker division was established in Ruijin on August 1, 1933, shouldering the responsibility of defending the red capital Ruijin Mission, it is also known as the Central Guard, in the war showed a very strong combat effectiveness. After the fifth defeat against encirclement and destruction, the Central Military Commission canceled the number of workers and staffed them with various units.
