肺癌不仅在发达国家中占癌症死因的首位,而且在一些发展中国家可能也会很快达到这一水平。目前,在澳大利亚、奥地利、比利时、保加利亚、古巴、捷克、丹麦、埃及、芬兰、法国、东德、西德、希腊、香港、匈牙利、爱尔兰、以色列、意大利、卢森堡、荷兰、新西兰、菲律宾、波兰、罗马尼亚、新加坡、瑞士、泰国、英国、美国、乌拉圭、南斯拉夫和津巴布韦等许多国家中,男性肺癌均为癌症死因的第一位。在包括日本在内的一些其他国家中,如果肺癌死亡率仍保持当前的增长趋势,十年内肺癌也将成为癌症死亡的首要原因。此外,许多国家的女性肺癌死亡率较男性增加得更快。
Lung cancer is not only the top cause of cancer deaths in developed countries, but it may well reach that level soon in some developing countries. At present, there are presentations in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cuba, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Egypt, Finland, France, East Germany, West Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, New Zealand, the Philippines, Poland In many countries, including Romania, Singapore, Switzerland, Thailand, the United Kingdom, the United States, Uruguay, Yugoslavia and Zimbabwe, male lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer deaths. In some other countries, including Japan, lung cancer will also be the leading cause of cancer deaths within a decade if lung cancer mortality rates continue their current upward trend. In addition, the mortality rate of female lung cancer in many countries is faster than that of men.
