每当提起伴奏豫剧的首席乐器“豫剧板胡”的调弦时,同行们总是有一种无可奈何的情绪。目前豫剧板胡普遍使用的“丝弦、皮弦”的伸长量较大。每当装上一根新弦时,总要把弦紧到一定程度后再用手指捏住弦的中部左推右拉一番,以期在使用中控制住弦的再度明显伸长;然而还是解决不了根本问题,在伴奏中还会出现弦音变低的情况。特别是在伴奏一个戏的重点唱腔时,会给拉板胡的同志造成很大麻烦。为此,有些同志把丝弦或皮弦取下来,换上铜弦或琵琶用的尼龙缠弦。但目前在豫剧界还存有很大的分歧意见,使用丝弦或皮弦的仍占百分之九十以上。
