随着信息化的发展,要求企业通过Internet及时发布自身信息并同时取得用户的反馈信息;要求企业外出人员和合作伙伴能够使用依赖于Internet的VPN技术无缝的访问企业内部资源;企业的员工也需要通过内容丰富的Internet来获取信息,并同业务对象保持联系。这一切说明都企业对Internet的依赖性加强,对于某些企业来说,如果脱离Internet则可能会导致大多数经营业务无法进行。所以对这些企业来说,必须实现Internet连接的高可用性。实现高可用性的主要手段是采用冗余,冗余通过为网络增加多重链路或设备的方法来减少停机时间,提高系统的可用性。所以选用两条或者多条Internet连接就成为多数企业实现Internet连接高可用性主要手段。多Internet出口不仅可以提高连接可用性,当出口接入不同的ISP时,可以有效的屏蔽ISP之间访问的障碍,使信息的获取和发布更加流畅。
