The Soviet Union and the East deteriorated and the world socialist movement dipped to a low ebb. Some people say that socialism has failed. In fact, this is not a failure of socialism but a failure of the traditional socialist model of the Soviet Union. Socialism does not and should not have a unified and fixed model. On the basis of summing up the experience and lessons of the international and domestic communist movements, our country creatively proposed a new mode of building socialism with Chinese characteristics.
