Since the war in the Kosovo plain, this land has no peace. Both the Serbs and the Albanians have lost their freedom and right to be the masters. As a result, the land is barren year after year and the people become increasingly poor. The invaders are rampant here, and the interventionists are unbridled here. The Turks, then the Austrians and the Russians, both frequent the see-saw wars in Kosovo, the heartland of Serbia, for fighting over the Balkans and carving up the sphere of influence here. In addition to the brutal killing and plunder, these invaders and interferers also undecidedly used the various ethnic groups here to serve their own war interests. In Kosovo, they have used the contradictions and battles between Kosovo Serbs and Albanians.
