作家出版社出版的《北方的红星》是一部描写北京长辛店机车车辆工厂六十年变迁的工厂史。今年五一国际劳动节的前夕,本刊委托河南人民出版社在郑州召开了这本书的座谈会。会议由河南人民出版社社长牛星斗同志主持。参加座谈的有:郑州铁路局职工(党委、工会的文教宣传工作者,参加过“二七”的老工人,也有青年工人),河南省和郑州市文联的同志,河南省中级党校党史教研室和郑州大学政治历史系的教师等共二十人。座谈会整整进行了一天,到会同志都从不同的角度评论了这本书,发言十分热烈,有的同志还做了书面的发言。这里发表的,只是这次座谈会上一部分同志的发言纪要。
The “Red Star in the North” published by the Writers’ Publishing House is a history of the factory that describes the sixty years of the change of locomotive and rolling stock factory in Changxindian, Beijing. On the eve of May 1 International Labor Day this year, the magazine commissioned Henan People’s Press to hold a symposium on this book in Zhengzhou. The meeting was presided over by Niu Xingdou, president of Henan People’s Publishing House. Those attending the forum included the staff and workers of Zhengzhou Railway Bureau (Party committees and trade unions, cultural and propaganda workers, old workers who attended “27” and young workers), comrades from Henan Province and Zhengzhou City Federation of Literary and Art Circles, the Party History Teaching and Research Office of Henan Province Intermediate Party School And Zhengzhou University Department of Political History teacher a total of twenty people. The symposium took a full day. Comrades from both comrades commented on the book from different angles. The speech was very warm and some comrades made written speeches. What is published here is only a summary of the speeches made by some comrades at this forum.
