古埃及太阳神庙的门楣上竟悬着“认识你自己”的字样,中国也有一句古话:“人贵有自知自明。”袁观经过人生坎坷阶段的锤炼,能智慧地认识自己依旧“稚拙”的可贵,就更加自然地表现在艺术创作之中。书法家尉天池曾说“袁观特别率真,在她身边一定安全!”美术学家张道一被表现剪刻的小乌深深地打动,并把它们刊登在《民间艺术》的封面上。袁观秉性朴实、纯真,总是以一颗赤子之心竭力善待别人。因善于逆向思维的她被认为是“另类”。与生俱来的独特使她自觉地跳出了写实的圈子,另辟新路,自由而坚定地追求着精神的家园,在自己的世界里尽情地漫游,着意心象的刻绘,往复于现实与理想王国之间,创作出一幅幅意象性的图画,作品绝不会落入艺术理念的俗套,彻底表现了她清纯的心灵和精神世界的光明。她怀着最真诚的愿望与人们的爱心相沟通,凭着她对《圣经》的直觉感悟,人性地把神的爱转化为人类的爱和伦理性的亲情之爱。她用“爱”和“欢乐”来解读着《圣径》,在艺术上大胆地诠释耶
