对广州市三个不同级别的六所医院候诊室卫生学调查显示，候诊室的卫生状况良好，卫生质量指数范围在０．５１～０．７０之间，三个级别医院的候诊室卫生状况好坏顺序依次为市级，区级、街道卫生院，其中有七项指标的合格率在８０％以上，个别医院的个别指标超标情况应引起重视。有些医院候诊室室外空气中的个别污染物浓度医院；明显高于室内，建议采取综合治理的措施改善医院候诊室的卫生状况。
