植物与病原物关系的综合特点是植物能以多种方式免除或减少病原物的灾难性为害。这是可以理解的,因为植物在其长期进化过程中经常暴露于为数众多的病原物的侵袭之下。植物病害的种种自然防治方式也可以说是自然历史对人类的恩赐。植物病理学研究的主要任务之一是寻找并利用这种恩賜。遗憾的是,至今为止我们得到的知识大部分来自反面的教训。
The complex feature of plant-pathogen relationships is the ability of plants to eliminate or reduce the catastrophic effects of pathogens in a number of ways. This is understandable because plants are frequently exposed to a large number of pathogens during their long-term evolution. All kinds of natural plant diseases prevention and control can also be said that natural history is a gift to mankind. One of the main tasks of plant pathology research is to find and use this gift. Unfortunately, much of what we have learned so far comes from negative lessons.
