中国电子学会第一届毫米波、亚毫米波学术年会于1981年10月17日至21日在北京召开.毫米波、亚毫米波技术是当前开拓和利用电波资源最为活跃的频段.此频段具有测量精度高、信息容量大、抗干扰性能好、多普勒效应灵敏度高、装备体积小等优点,并且有可穿透等离子体和特殊的大气传输特性.因而在制导系统、大容量卫星通讯、保密通讯、受控热核反应、遥感技术以及低空防御火炮控制系统和低仰角跟踪系统等方面得到了广泛迅速的应用,国际上每年均有这方面的技术交流会.当前国内对毫米波、亚毫米波频段的开拓已是迫在眉睫.为此,由真空电子学会倡议和筹备召开了第一届毫米波、亚毫米波学术年会.
