序言《野草》是鲁迅在人生最晦暗时期中的一个特殊的精神产物。《过客》作为《野草》研究的个案,既展示了《野草》的共同风格,也有自我独特个性。《过客》是一个戏剧文体,有独特的空间结构。本文试图通过文本的细读,在与鲁迅“立人”的思想核心和“中间物”观念的交汇之后,刻画出“过客”的典型写照——“不行!我还是走的好。我息不下。”196当我们把目光聚焦于《过客》中的中年人,也确实可以质疑,过客的“走”是具有有效性的吗?
