On the morning of July 5, 2004, the Symposium on the 10th Anniversary of the promulgation of the “Labor Law” jointly organized by the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, the All-China Federation of Trade Unions, the NPC Legal Work Office, the Legislative Affairs Office of the State Council and the China Enterprise Confederation held a speech in the Great Hall of the People Held. The meeting reviewed the important role played by the “Labor Law” in promulgating and implementing the Labor Law over the past 10 years in safeguarding the legitimate rights and interests of laborers, maintaining social harmony and stability, and promoting economic development.
