The base is located in Rosetaille village in the north of Lyon, a 2 km long block on the left bank of the Saône. This arc-shaped embankment faces Jinfeng, protected from turbulence, dotted with pebbly beaches and sandy beaches. At the beginning of the 20th century, it was the most popular beach in Lyon, with many outdoor cafes and ballrooms. The tradition of recreational riverside lasted for many years, but much of the space was later slowly occupied by vehicles: the inter-section roads cut off the linkages between the villages, and the cars stopped more and more. The main challenge for the project is to highlight both the old dyke and the cobblestone trails on existing moorings. Design reduces traffic flow
