这次会议是热带病特别规划处麻风免疫研究委员会(IMMLEP)和麻风化学治疗研究委员会(THELEP)会同世界卫生组织东南亚区和西太区两个办事处于1981年11月18～19日在缅甸首都仰光举行的.会议目的:(1)回顾IMMLEP 和 THELEP 研究工作取得的进展;(2)回顾东南亚区和西太区辩学家所参预 IMMLEP 和 THELEP研究项目的进展;(3)探讨 IMMLEP 和 THELEP 在这两个地区就某些研究项目,包括现场研究,与当地科学家扩大协作的可能性。这次会议有来自23个国家共51名科学家参加,包括 IMMLEP 和 THELEP 指导委员会成员,以及东南亚区和西太区的科学家,是世界卫生组织历年来召
The meeting was sponsored by IMMLEP and THELEP together with two offices of WHO’s Southeast Asia Region and the Western Pacific Region on November 18-19, 1981 in the Burmese capital (1) Review the progress made in the research of IMMLEP and THELEP; (2) Review the progress made by the experts of South East Asia and Western Pacific in pre-IMMLEP and THELEP research; (3) Explore the progress of IMMLEP and THELEP research; THELEP has the possibility of expanding collaboration with local scientists in certain research projects in both regions, including on-site research. A total of 51 scientists from 23 countries attended the meeting, including members of the IMMLEP and THELEP Steering Committees and scientists from South East Asia and the Western Pacific Region.
