电影是一种艺术,喜剧电影则是艺术的一种精华,无厘头喜剧则是喜剧电影的一种神话,周星驰则是神话界的传奇。对于九七问题产生以后的香港电影来说,周星驰电影是一种文化的景现,运用嘲讽高雅、戏仿拼贴、反讽隐喻、性别错位和重复夸张的独特的无厘头模式,恒定不变的爱江山更爱美人的叙事结构,一枝独秀的话语体系屹立在喜剧电影之巅。在无厘头搞笑的背后,其努力奋斗的小人物形象,蕴含着中国人最朴实真切的人伦情感,彰显无力自求,诉诸外求的命运。随着时代的进步,周星驰的电影也迈向新的台阶。
