On August 26, 2002, the largest floating dock in the world arrived in Monaco. The floating pier is a 13-day maritime journey from the port of Algeciras, Spain, to the ancient port of La Condamine in Monaco. It will be connected to the seaport with a 700-tonne metal stirrup. The floating dock at sea is reinforced concrete structure, weighing 160,000 tons, 352 meters long, 28 meters wide, 19 meters high, the size of the equivalent of the Eiffel Tower in Paris.
