一、主要障碍 1.背景知识意义的产生是听者将一定的相关背景知识与听觉信息有机结合的结果。缺少或不会利用这些背景知识,理解就会变得相当难,甚至完全听不懂。但在教学中发现中国学生学习英语往往只注意语言知识的学习,却普遍忽略了有关社会知识的掌握。教师应鼓励学生多读课外书籍,扩大视野和知识面。在听力理解过程中,有时似乎听懂了句子,却找不到正确的答案,这种理解中的障碍往往是由于不熟悉文化背景知识所造成的。例如:一次全国大学英语四级统考中有这样一道听力题:
