弓長嶺鐵礦是鞍山鋼鐵公司範圍以內最重要的鐵礦,爲了實際的需要,在今年春天,由政務院財政經濟委員會領導的東北區地質礦產調查隊派了兩個小隊去調查,參加的地質工作人員有前中央地質調查所的程裕淇、李毓英、趙貴三、潘廓祥和東北科學研究所地質調查所的李靜仁、王運昌等六人,此外鞍鋼公司地質調查科派來聯絡的曹大會,也曾担任一小部分技術工作。
