“大学生志愿服务西部计划”由共青团中央、教育部、财政部、人事部共同组织实施。2003年8月底,在“到西部去、到基层去、到祖国和人民最需要的地方去”的嘹亮歌声中,首批参加西部计划的上万名高校毕业生辞别亲朋,陆续踏上西部沃土。200多天里,在乡村学校,在基层卫生院,在田间地头。在困难群众家中.都留下了大学生志愿者无私奉献.锻炼成长的足迹。服务之余,他们还以日记的形式记录了自已的思想体会,人生感悟。这些日记展现了当代大学生朝气蓬勃、积极向上的精神面貌,体现了大学生志愿者强烈的社会责任感和脚踏实地、艰苦奋斗的工作态度。读来令人感动和鼓舞。从即日起,本刊将联合团中央青年志愿者工作部开辟专栏,连续选登西部志愿者日记。以飨读者。欢迎供稿、来信。
