Breaking the storm In November 1984, China first sent a team of scientific expeditions to Antarctica with the task of establishing China’s first Antarctic Science Station and carrying out scientific investigations of the South Ocean. This is a major event in science and technology in China in the 1980s. I was fortunate enough to participate in this expedition to the Antarctic feat. In the southern tip of South America, Tierra del Fuego.
