General Plan and 173 Residences The Eendra chtspark area of Guzvierde, in Amsterdam, is a new district formed during the urban expansion project known as the “Garden City of the West” after World War II. The prototype of this new district plan existed as early as planned by Planner Cornelius Van Istron in the city’s general expansion plan designed in 1934, while the Eendra chtspark area is named after a park of the same name. The structure of the area is an open bar with greenery between the blocks. Since the late 1990s, the government started to gradually implement large-scale urban renewal projects because of the social problems of the time and the dilapidated residential buildings.
