2010年7月《心路·定格》杨天民西部人物摄影展在京展出。借助这次展览的机会,我与他进行了面对面的交流。他的健谈,他的谦虚平和的心态,他对淳朴藏民的热爱,以及对当代文化价值观念与信仰缺失的忧虑等等,都给我留下了十分深刻的印象。杨天民1984年开始在报社从事摄影新闻报道,经常有机会到农村去拍片,拍过不少好片子。1992年下海,2006年开始专注于人像的拍摄,尤其是拍摄藏民,他每年都会去藏区好几次。他说从那以后就很少拍风光了,因为他体会到了拍人是最有乐趣的。
July 2010 “Heart fixed” Yang Tianmin western character photography exhibition in Beijing. With this exhibition, I had a face-to-face exchange with him. I was very impressed with his talkativeness, his modest and fair attitude, his love of honest Tibetans, his concern about the lack of values and faith in contemporary culture, and so on. Yang Tianmin began working in the newspaper in 1984, news reports, often have the opportunity to go to the countryside to shoot, shot a lot of good films. In 1992, he went to sea and started to focus on portraits in 2006. In particular, he shot Tibetans several times every year. He said that since then, he has seldom been photographed, because he realized that making people was the most enjoyable.
