埃德加·斯诺早在1928年来到中国。1933年至1938年住在北京,曾在燕京大学任教,有两年住在北京大学校园里。1936年,他访问了我国陕北革命根据地,写成《西行漫记》(原名《红星照耀中国》一书,向美国和全世界人民介绍了在中国共产党领导下的中国革命形势和中国工农红军二万五千里长征。新中国成立后,他又于1960年、1964和1970年三次访问我国,写了许多介绍中国人民进行社会主义革命和建设的报道。1971年3月,离开中国寄居瑞士。患病期间,毛泽东、周恩来曾派医疗队前往救治。斯诺于1972年2月15日逝世,享年66岁。根据遗嘱,斯诺的骨灰一半葬在美国,一半送来中国
Edgar Snow came to China as early as 1928. He lived in Beijing from 1933 to 1938 and taught at Yenching University. He lived in Peking University campus for two years. In 1936, he visited the revolutionary base areas in northern Shaanxi and wrote the book “The Red Star Shines to China,” a book entitled “Red Star Shines to China.” He introduced to the people of the United States and the rest of the world the Chinese revolution under the leadership of the Chinese Communist Party and the Red Army II After the founding of new China, he visited China three times in 1960, 1964 and 1970 and wrote many reports on the Chinese people’s socialist revolution and construction. In March 1971, he left China to reside in Switzerland. During the illness, Mao Zedong, Zhou Enlai sent a medical team to the hospital for treatment.Snow died on February 15, 1972, at the age of 66. According to the will, Snow’s half ashes were buried in the United States, half sent to China
