国际统计学会第50届大会于1995年8月21日至29日在北京中国大饭店举行,国务院总理李鹏担任大会名誉主席,国家统计局局长张塞担任中国组委会主任。出席这次会议的,有来自85个国家、地区和国际机构的1070名代表,中国统计界代表380多人,特邀企业界列席代表近200人,规模超过国际统计学会列届会议,组委会收到论文870多篇。 8月21日下午举行开幕式,国务院付总理邹家华、国际统计学会主席Ghosh、下届主席Lox、中国科学院院长周光亚、国家统计局局长张塞、财政部部长刘仲藜等领导和1800多名国内外代表出席了开幕式,80多个国家驻华使馆官员也出席了开幕式。 邹家华在开幕式的致词中说,一个多世纪以来,国际统计学会以推进国际统计合作,促进统计学的发展为宗旨,积极开展统计理论和技术的研究和交流,并取得了许多重要成果,为社会进步和经济发展发展出了重大贡献。统计信息是管理社会所必需的基本的信息。随着社会的发展,人类社会更离不开统计,并殷切期待统计理论和技术的进一步发展。我相信本届大会对丰富统计学的理论宝库,增强国际统计合作和交流将会作出新的贡献。
The 50th Session of the International Statistical Institute was held at the China World Hotel in Beijing from August 21 to 29, 1995. Premier Li Peng of the State Council was honorary chairman of the conference. Zhang Sai, director of the National Bureau of Statistics, was the director of the Chinese Organizing Committee. Attendance at the conference included 1070 delegates from 85 countries, regions and international agencies, more than 380 representatives from the Chinese statistical community, and nearly 200 invited guests from the business community, surpassing the size of the ISIT Statistics Conference and the organizing committee Will receive more than 870 papers. The opening ceremony was held on the afternoon of August 21, under the leadership of Premier Zou Jiahua of the State Council, Ghosh, chairman of the International Statistical Institute, Lox, the next president, Zhou Guangya, president of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Zhang Cypher, director of the National Bureau of Statistics, and Liu Zhongli, minister of the Ministry of Finance and more than 1,800 domestic and foreign Representatives attended the opening ceremony, more than 80 countries embassy officials also attended the opening ceremony. In his speech at the opening ceremony, Zou Jiahua said that for more than a century, the International Statistical Institute has been actively conducting research and exchange of statistical theory and technology with the promotion of international statistical cooperation and the development of statistics, and has achieved many important results. Social progress and economic development have made a significant contribution. Statistics are the basic information necessary to manage a society. With the development of society, human society is inseparable from statistics and earnestly look forward to the further development of statistical theory and technology. I believe this session of the General Assembly will make new contributions to enriching the theoretical treasures of statistics and enhancing international cooperation and exchanges in statistics.
