陕、甘、宁、青、新西北五省(区)水利学会在中国水利学会、新疆维吾尔自治区党委和政府的大力支持和赞助下,于1987年10月6日至10日在乌鲁木齐市召开了“西北干旱、半干旱地区第二次水资源合理开发利用学术讨论会”。中国水利学会和水电部都十分重视。中国水利学会副秘书长李文治、水资源办公室杨守法、南水北调办公室陈春槐及北京勘测设计院陈肇禹等同志参加了会议。新疆维吾尔自治区党委和人民政府也很重视这次活动,自治区党委常委海力且木·斯拉木、自治区科协主席阿巴斯·包尔汉、自治区人大常委会副主任王鹤亭等同志
The water conservancy societies of Shaanxi, Gansu, Ningxia, Qinghai and New Northwest provinces (autonomous regions), under the strong support and sponsorship of China Water Conservancy Society and the party committees and governments of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, held in Urumqi from October 6 to October 10, 1987 “The Second Symposium on the Rational Exploitation and Utilization of Water Resources in Arid and Semi-arid Regions of Northwest China”. China Water Conservancy and Ministry of Water Resources attach great importance. Li Wenzhi, deputy secretary-general of China Water Conservancy Society, Yang Shoufa, Water Resources Office, Chen Chunhuai, director of South-to-North Water Diversion Project, and Chen Zhaoyu, commander of Beijing Survey and Design Institute attended the meeting. The party committee and people’s government of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region attach great importance to this event as well.
