通过个案研究调查广东省民办高校大学英语教师的科研能力,发现相对于公立院校,民办院校的大学英语教师的科研能力不容乐观,而且发展缓慢,这与民办学院的地位和办学环境不无关系。而且,民办学院的大学英语教师学科及学科相关知识不合理,科研兴趣不高,好高骛远。民办学校教师应该克服困难,努力提高自身的科研能力,民办学校管理层也应该着眼于未来发展,增加科研经费,建立合理的与科研成果挂钩的激励制度。
Through case studies, we investigated the scientific research ability of college English teachers in private universities in Guangdong Province and found that the research capability of college English teachers in public colleges and private universities is not optimistic and slow to develop. This is not inconsistent with the status and operating environment of private colleges relationship. Moreover, college English teachers in undergraduate colleges and subjects related to unreasonable knowledge, interest in scientific research is not high, far-reaching. Private school teachers should overcome difficulties and strive to improve their own scientific research ability. Private school management should also focus on future development, increase scientific research funding, and establish a reasonable incentive system linked with scientific research achievements.
