临床上多种病因可导致脑水肿,而由此出现的颅内高压和脑疝的形成常为致死的重要原因。使用脱水剂是解除脑水肿的主要措施之一。然而使用脱水剂过程中亦可能出现水、电解质失衡至低钠血症及低钠性(稀释性)脑水肿,引起病情复杂化的情况,且多被忽视或将此误认为是原发病情加重,而继续使用脱水剂,造成恶性循环,甚至死亡。为探讨脑水肿与血钠的关系,我们在1984~1987年6月间对收治的260例脑水肿患儿进行了血钠测定,现将结果报告如下。

In order to explore the relationship between cerebral edema and serum sodium, we conducted a blood sodium test on 260 children with cerebral edema admitted between 1984 and June 1987, and the results are reported below.
