9月18日,夜幕刚刚降临,沈铁二校的校园里充满了欢歌笑语。一条条彩带当空舞,一盏盏高压水银灯把整个操场照得如同白昼。头戴花环的学生们,兴致勃勃地围坐在操场四周。上千名家长也前来参加纪念抗日战争胜利五十周年营火晚会。晚6时,在雄壮的国歌声中营火晚会拉开帷幕。老前辈、电影《英雄儿女》作者毛烽点燃了火炬。刹时,篝火在操场中央熊熊燃起,操场一片沸腾。
On September 18, the night had just come, and the campus of Shenyang Iron II School was full of singing and laughing. A strip of ribbon dances in the air, and a high pressure mercury lamp shines the entire playground like a white stork. The garlands of the students sat happily around the playground.
