Small high-resolution optical encoder is the development of robotics and related science and technology of the key technologies, is the current international research hot spots. It can be used for robotic position speed control and micro-ultra-precision mechanical testing under special circumstances technology. This article reviews small high-resolution optical encoder measurement systems and describes the latest advances in this technology.
