On March 8, 2014, a Malaysian Airlines MH370 passenger carrying 239 people disappeared shortly after take-off, however, the missing aircraft has been more than two weeks old, with almost no progress in search and rescue operations. On March 24, Malaysian Prime Minister Najib announced that the new data showed the missing Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 crashed into the South Indian Ocean west of Perth, the Australian city.
