布莱德尼·J.拉佩尼,一位名不见经传的美国人。2003年退休前为美国伊利诺伊州尚佩恩消防队的一名普通消防员。退休后,他开始专职于自己的摄影事业。然而,就是这位美国人用自己的相机拍摄了“9·11”现场的废墟。2007年5月,拉佩尼应上海摄影家协会的邀请来到上海参观交流。作为一名老消防员,拉佩尼对上海的消防部队充满了兴趣,而当我们听说他曾亲自拍摄过“9·11”遗址现场时,也迫不及待地想了解他的经历。5月的一天,拉佩尼来到《新安全东方消防》编辑部,为我们讲述了他的那段经历。
Bradley J. La Penny, a little-known American. Before retiring in 2003, he was an ordinary firefighter at the Champaign Fire Department in Illinois, Illinois. After retirement, he started working full time in his own photography career. However, the American photographed the ruins of the “9.11” scene with his own camera. In May 2007, La Penny came to Shanghai to visit Shanghai at the invitation of Shanghai Photographers Association. As an old firefighter, La Penny was very interested in the fire forces in Shanghai. When we heard that he had personally taken the site of September 11, he could not wait to understand his experience. One day in May, La Penney came to the editorial department of “New Security East Fire” and told us about his experience.
