社会治安是关系社会安定、政治稳定、经济发展、人民群众安居乐业的大问题.1996年以来,莱芜市各级党委、政府把保一方平安作为一项重要工作列入议事日程,实行一把手总负责,层层落实目标责任制。各职能部门坚持打防并举、标本兼治的工作方针,进一步加强社会治安的综合整治,有力地促进了全市社会治安状况的根本好转。
