文章以历史为线索，按照国际国内形势，把华侨支援和参加祖国抗战分为三个不同的发展阶段。在每个历史阶段中，华侨从自身的实际条件出发，充分发挥自身的特点和优势，尽最大的力量支援抗日战争，从而对抗日战争的胜利作出了特殊贡献。指出了华侨在中国抗战中具有不可代替的历史地位。
The article takes history as a clue and according to the international and domestic situations, divided the overseas Chinese’s support and participation in the war of resistance against motherland into three different stages of development. In each historical stage, the overseas Chinese, proceeding from their actual conditions, give full play to their own characteristics and advantages, and exert their utmost to support the war of resistance against Japan and thus make special contributions to the victory of the Japanese War. It points out that overseas Chinese have irreplaceable historical status in the war of resistance in China.
