1959年7月下旬,我们在进行宁镇山脉五万分之一综合地质测量的踏勘中,在下关与燕子矶间的幕俯山发现了寒武纪地层。从此,关于宁镇山脉究竟有无寒武纪地层的问题得到了解决;同时这一发现使我俩对下扬子地区的地史发育和大地构造也有了进一步的认识。详细情况须待测量工作完毕后再作介绍,现仅对幕俯山寒武纪地层作一简略说明。幕俯山寒武纪地层出露在达摩洞
In the late July 1959, during the reconnaissance of the comprehensive geologic survey of 50,000th of the Ningzhen Mountains, we found the Cambrian stratigraphy in the dunes and valleys between Shimonoseki and Yanziji. Since then, the question of whether there is any Cambrian strata in the Ningzhen Mountains has been solved. At the same time, this discovery made us have a further understanding of the geography and geotectonics of the Lower Yangtze region.
