According to the practice of the modernization of editorial department of Tea Science, the editorial department of sci-tech periodicals discussed how to make use of thematic databases, internet, computers and other technologies to comprehensively change the working methods and strive to improve the editorial department’s functions. Brief introduction of the magazine to create a thematic database and play an important role in the proceedings, the use of the Internet for global manuscripts and peer review, paperless manuscript revision and editing, the establishment of periodicals website.
