OBJECTIVE: To analyze the differences in the effects of biochemical tests and routine tests in the diagnosis of diabetes mellitus. Methods: A total of 100 diabetic patients admitted to our hospital from January 2015 to January 2016 were selected as study subjects and randomly divided into control group and observation group, 50 cases in each group. The control group using routine testing, the observation group using biochemical tests. Compare the accuracy of the test results between the two groups and the difference of relevant indicators. Results: The accuracy of the test group was significantly higher than that of the control group (P <0.05), and the specificity and positive predictive value of the test group were significantly lower than those of the control group (P <0.05). The negative predictive value of the test group was higher than that of the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05). Conclusion: The diagnostic rate of biochemical tests for diabetes mellitus is significantly higher than routine tests, but the combination of the two test methods can ensure the accuracy of its examination and its application can be optimized clinically.
