中国科学院於1953年2月21—23日在北京院本部召开全国性的化学物质命名扩大座谈会,讨论化学物质的中文命名问题。出席人是由中国科学院徵询化学名词审查小组、中国化学会、中国化学工程学会和上海中华化学工业的意见後邀请的。凡是与化学有关的重要机关及化学学术团体都推有专家出席。又因化学物质命名关系中国词汇的发展,所以特地邀请政务院文化教育委员会文字改革研究委员会和中国科学院语言研究所各派专家数人参加讨论。
Chinese Academy of Sciences in February 21, 1953 February 23 in Beijing headquarters held a national naming convention to expand the name of the chemical substances to discuss the issue of Chinese naming. Attendees were invited by the Chinese Academy of Sciences after consulting with the Chemical Terminology Review Group, the Chinese Chemical Society, the Chinese Chemical Engineering Society and Shanghai Zhonghua Chemical Industry. All the key chemical-related organizations and academic societies have experts present. Because of the naming of chemical substances in relation to the development of Chinese vocabulary, we specially invited the experts from the Research Commission for Text Reform of the Culture and Education Commission of the State Council and the experts from various schools of the Chinese Academy of Sciences to participate in the discussion.
