1924年11月,踌躇满志的黄埔军官学校第一期毕业生唱着豪迈的校歌走出校门。这几百名身穿灰色军装的热血青年只在这个军官摇篮里“荡”了半年,就匆匆出“炉”了。时任中共广东区委书记的陈延年和区委军事部长兼黄埔军校政治部主任的周恩来看中了这批黄埔生中的徐成章、周士第、赵自选3人,遂令他们速与广东区委机关的廖乾吾、曹汝谦两人一起组成一支特殊武装——大元帅府铁甲车队。这是中共直接创建和掌握的第一支武装。

Chen Yannian, then party secretary of the CPC Guangdong Provincial Committee, and Zhou Enlai, the military minister of the district party committee and director of the political department of Whampoa Military Academy, took a fanfare to the three of them, Xu Chengzhang, Zhou Shidi and Zhao Zizhong, Authority of the Liao Gan Wu, Cao Ruqian together to form a special armed - Grand Marshal House armored team. This is the first armed establishment and control directly made by the CCP.
