中西合资企业(Midwest Joint Venture——MJV)在萨斯喀彻温省北部有一个高品位铀矿床。该矿床由于距地表太深,用露天法开采不经济,因此目前拟用地下法开采。MJV高品位铀矿石赋存在软弱的高度蚀变岩层中,地下还有含氡量高的涌水,以前未用地下法开采过这类矿床。该项目的试采工作于1989年完成,试验目的有三: 1)对处理大量含氡高的涌水和在地下开采富铀矿石的辐射防护要求进行评估; 2)了解坑内涌水的数量和质量; 3)调查矿带内和矿带周围的岩层情况,以便选择合适的采矿方法。根据试采工作取得的资料,已为矿山设想出一种采矿方法。中段平面图业已绘出,设计了通风系统,考虑了泵抽装置和矿石的运输方法。所有这些都是按地下作业能安全进行的方式来实施的。设计的采矿方法颇为独特,因为是针对以前从未遇到过的采矿问题而设计的。地下的新问题需要新的方法处理。遥控凿岩、爆破、出矿和充填,是荐用采矿方法的基本内容。
Midwest Joint Venture (MJV) has a high-grade uranium deposit in northern Saskatchewan. Due to the fact that the deposit is too deep from the surface, it is uneconomical to use the open-air method to extract it. Therefore, underground mining is currently planned. MJV high-grade uranium ore is hosted in weak and highly altered rock formations, with gushing water containing high amounts of radon underground, which have not been mined before. Pilot mining of the project was completed in 1989 with three pilot purposes: 1) to assess the radiation protection requirements for handling large amounts of gushing water with high radon and for uranium ore mining underground; 2) to understand the quantity and quality of gushing water in the pit; 3 ) Investigate rock formation in and around the ore belt in order to select the appropriate mining method. According to the information obtained from the trial production, a mining method has been envisaged for the mine. The middle section of the plan has been plotted, a ventilation system has been designed that takes into account pumping methods and ore transport methods. All of this is done in a way that underground operations can be done safely. The design of the mining method is quite unique because it is designed for mining problems that have never before been encountered. New underground problems require new ways of dealing with them. Remote drilling, blasting, mining and filling, mining method is recommended to use the basic content.
