On this basis, Lenin made it clear that the development of productive forces is the highest standard proposition of social progress and regards productivity as the standard of historical progress. In the Chinese revolution and practice, Mao Zedong first proposed using the development of the productive forces as the evaluation criterion. In the practice of reform and opening up, Deng Xiaoping proposed the “three conducive” enrichment and development of Marxist theory of productive forces.
