1939年中日昆仑关大战,在我国抗日民族解放战争史上写下了光辉的一页。是役歼敌四千余,击毙敌少将旅团长中村正雄、联队长坂田元一和三木吉之助、班长以上军官达百分之八十五,缴获战利品无数。我军阵殁官兵3400多人。为缅怀英烈,国民党第三十八集团军第五军于抗战胜利后派工兵连到昆仑山建造昆仑关战役阵亡将士牌坊、墓园及纪念塔,藉以流芳千古。蒋中正、李宗仁、白崇禧及杜聿明等各路抗日将领均有题词。 墓园规模宏大,自南迄北高踞关塞西侧、邕宾公路中段,纵约两三华里。自南登临有四柱三门的石刻牌坊。牌坊中间横额及两内联有蒋中正题“陆军第五军昆仑关战役阵亡将士墓园”及“芳烈长流为国家尽忠民族
The war between China and Japan in the Kunlun Mountains in 1939 wrote a glorious page in the history of the Anti-Japanese National Liberation War in our country.
