抗日战争爆发后,中国军队恶劣的医疗条件,引起世人关注。在国内外爱好和平的人士的努力下,1938年以白求恩大夫为首的加拿大美国志愿医疗队和以爱德华大夫为首的印度志愿医疗队陆续来到武汉,再由武汉奔赴抗战前线。其后,又有许多来自德国、英国、法国、荷兰、捷克斯洛伐克、波兰和奥地利等国家的医务工作者,为支援中国人民的反法西斯战争,来到中国,并送来了一批批医药和器械。
After the outbreak of the Anti-Japanese War, the poor medical conditions of the Chinese army have drawn world attention. Thanks to the peace-loving people both at home and abroad, the Canadian Volunteers Medical Team led by Dr. Bethune and the Indian Volunteer Medical Team headed by Dr. Edward Euther came to Wuhan in 1938 and went to Wuhan by the Wuhan front. Since then, many medical workers from Germany, the United Kingdom, France, the Netherlands, Czechoslovakia, Poland and Austria have come to China to send anti-Fascist war to support the Chinese people and have sent a batch of pharmaceuticals and instrument.
