一个具有较高素质的学报编辑,必须懂得并掌握学报的编排规范。吕叔湘先生说过:“当好一个编辑不见得比当好一个教授容易些,从某个意义上说还更困难些。”学报编辑工作也同其它书刊编辑工作一样,是一个由选题、组稿、审稿、加工整理、编排、校对等环节构成的系统工程,是一种科学性、技术性很强的学术活动;它要求编辑具备六条基本素质:第一,必须具有相当的马克思主义理论水平。第二,认真学习党的路线、方针、政策,特别要努力学习新闻、出版等方面的许多具体政策。第三,必须是编辑出版业务的专家,对稿件要进行全面的质量把关,通过加工整理,使发排的稿件完全符合出版的规格
