四川是甘蔗的老产区。建国三十多年来,在党和政府的重视下,蔗糖生产有很大的发展,机制白糖从无到有,目前加工能力已达到18万吨以上。但近年来,出现原料蔗供应不足,糖厂吃不饱的被动局面。这同甘蔗品种、质量和数量远远不能满足需要有很大关系,这个问题急待解决。现就结合经济作物应因地制宜,适当集中的原则和各地不同的地理气候条件,对四川甘蔗品种改良、布局调整提出如下初步意见:
Sichuan is an old producing area of sugar cane. Over the past 30 years since the founding of the People’s Republic of China, under the attention of the party and the government, there has been a great development in sucrose production. Its mechanism sugar has grown from scratch and the current processing capacity has reached more than 180,000 tons. However, in recent years there has been a lack of supply of raw cane and a passive situation in which the sugar factory is not full. This is with the sugarcane varieties, quality and quantity far can not meet the needs of a great deal, this problem urgently needs to be solved. Now on the combination of economic crops should be based on local conditions, the principle of appropriate concentration and different geographical and climatic conditions around the Sichuan sugarcane varieties to improve, the layout of the following preliminary comments:
