由捷克人Jiri Janda于1972年在英国组建的NAD,主要以生产高性价比的音响器材为主,当时推出一台型号为3020的合并扩音机,由于该机使用了软性削峰线路与气囊功率设计,令它的声音表现异于常人,再加上极为亲民的价格(推出时仅80磅)而令这间不太知名的制造厂一举成名。随后NAD历经了几番变迁,顺应了多声道时代的发展趋势而推出了多声道AV放大器、解码器、家庭影院中心系统及套装等全系列家庭影音产品,并且推出了高级的Master(大师)系列产品,一改以往NAD只做平价不做贵价器材的作风,因此受到更多消费者的瞩目。
