The 5th Cross-Strait Urban Transportation Symposium was held on December 9, 1997 ~ January 6, 1998 in Taichung, Taiwan. The topics of the conference include: (1) the problems and countermeasures of urban transport, including urban traffic planning, research on congestion charging theory, route guidance system, signal control system and traffic enforcement service; (2) the development of advanced transportation systems including the development of advanced transport systems in Taiwan, Advanced passers-by consulting system, intelligent vehicle feeders, automatic rail transport system, etc .; ③ urban public transport problems and countermeasures, including Taipei Mucha line MRT system introduction, public participation in MRT construction, small and medium-sized bus service characteristics analysis ; Intercity
